A naive waterolcour of a gentleman holding a riding crop. His rather distinctive nose draws the eye. Did he perhaps like a tipple and this caricature of this depicts that, or perhaps he just had a rather large nose. Whatever the case, this utterly charming watercolour remains in its original frame.
