A sturdy, and decorative set of shop steps dating to c. 1900. The steps are in excellent condition and retain the original finish. The steps were clearly meant to be left out as although the nut does unscrew so they can be folded away, this is not a wing nut with a sliding option. The nut has and bolt actually have to be taken off to fold them away. This shows they were intended to be left open in the shop setting, probably behind the counter for easy access to the higher shelves.
Measuring: 89 cm, 48 cm wide, and 70 cm span when open
